Yvonne Foletta Brings an Educator’s Approach to Real Estate with eXp Realty and the Larson Real Estate Team

Sep 10, 2026

United States, September 10, 2026 -- For Yvonne Foletta, real estate is not simply about completing a transaction. It is about helping people understand their options, navigate a major life transition, and move forward with confidence. As a Realtor with eXp Realty and a member of the Larson Real Estate Team, Yvonne works with buyers and sellers throughout Monterey and Santa Cruz Counties. Her approach combines local market guidance with patience, organization, clear communication, and a commitment to making clients feel supported throughout the process.

That approach was shaped by more than 20 years in education. Before entering real estate, Yvonne worked as a third grade teacher and special education behavior therapist. Her career required patience, compassion, adaptability, and the ability to explain complex information in a way that others could understand. Those same skills now guide the way she works with buyers and sellers, particularly those who may feel uncertain or overwhelmed by the real estate process.

Although Yvonne valued the opportunity to make a difference through education, she eventually realized she was ready for a new professional direction. People had often told her that her personality was well suited for sales, leading her to take a leap of faith into real estate. At first, she believed she might be leaving a meaningful profession for one focused primarily on financial results. Her experience in the industry changed that perspective. Helping families purchase their first homes, invest in their futures, and begin building generational wealth showed her that real estate could provide another meaningful way to serve others.

Her transition into the industry was not immediate or easy. During her first couple of years with another brokerage, Yvonne completed only one transaction. Finding clients was difficult, and she felt that she lacked the mentorship, support, and opportunities required to develop her business. Rather than walking away, she continued searching for an environment that would allow her to grow while maintaining the personal approach she wanted to provide.

Joining eXp Realty and the Larson Real Estate Team became a turning point. Yvonne found experienced mentors, involved leadership, knowledgeable agents, and a collaborative culture where team members were willing to share their experience. The team’s partnership with Zillow also helped her connect with more families seeking assistance with buying or selling a home. With a stronger professional structure around her, Yvonne gained momentum and recently reached the personal milestone of helping clients purchase seven homes within nine months.

Yvonne’s work is centered on reducing stress and replacing uncertainty with clear information. Real estate transactions can include unfamiliar contracts, financial decisions, negotiations, inspections, deadlines, and unexpected challenges. She takes time to explain each stage, answer questions, and help clients understand the reasoning behind important decisions. Her goal is not to rush people through a transaction, but to provide the knowledge and support they need to make choices that reflect their circumstances and long term plans.

This educational approach is especially important when working with first time homebuyers. Yvonne helps new buyers understand financing, property searches, offers, inspections, negotiations, and closing requirements while setting realistic expectations about market conditions. For sellers, she focuses on preparation, positioning, communication, and developing a clear strategy designed around the property and the seller’s goals. Across both sides of the transaction, her priority is to create a more organized and manageable experience.

Yvonne also believes the client relationship should continue beyond closing. She remains connected with former clients, celebrates their milestones, and serves as an ongoing resource when questions arise. Many of those professional relationships develop into lasting friendships, reflecting her belief that real estate is ultimately built on trust rather than individual transactions.

Her work is supported by the broader accomplishments of the Larson Real Estate Team. The team received RealTrends Verified recognition in 2025 and reported 368 closed transactions representing approximately $415.6 million in sales volume. It was also ranked No. 10 among enterprise teams in California, a distinction published in The Wall Street Journal, and recognized as the leading Zillow partner in Northern California in 2024. These resources provide Yvonne with additional experience, technology, and market knowledge while allowing her to maintain the personal service that defines her individual approach.

For Yvonne, success is measured by more than the number of homes bought or sold. It is reflected in whether clients feel heard, informed, respected, and confident throughout the experience. Her mission is simple: to help people buy and sell real estate with less stress, greater clarity, and the reassurance that someone is consistently working in their corner. As her business slogan states, “When it comes to real estate, nobody does it betta’ than Foletta.”

SI is the future of AI – just not in the way Trump thinks

With US President Donald Trump recently pushing the use of “superintelligence” (SI) instead of artificial intelligence (AI) in national discourse, the acronym has gained unprecedented attention. It is the right acronym but the wrong meaning. In my opinion, SI should stand for “self-intelligence”. It probably explains why academics, critics and even major AI companies are calling for a temporary pause in AI development. They must have realised the technology’s current trajectory is headed down...
