SecureMaine 2026 is Here -- Thursday October 8th!

SecureMaine's 4th annual conference will host 300 regional cybersecurity and infrastructure security professionals, offering leading insights from a full agenda of presenters, including keynote speaker Deidre Diamond, an engaging practitioner panel, and a CISO/CIO Round Table discussion. In addition a Sponsor Pavilion of 35 security-related vendors and a Collaborators Hall of 5 regional security-focused nonprofit groups will be onsite all day to extend attendee networks, resources, and learning.

SOUTH PORTLAND, Maine - Oct. 5, 2026 - PRLog -- The 4th annual SecureMaine Conference, organized by SecureMaine, a 501(c)3 non-profit, will take place Thursday, October 8, 2026, at the Portland Sheraton Sable Oaks, 200 Sable Oaks Drive, South Portland, Maine.

Attendance fees are: $40 Advance Rate, and $50 on Event Day (space permitting). Student / Veteran / Career Transition discounts available. Attendance includes breakfast refreshments, lunch, afternoon snack, and limited parking (first come, first served). Register online at https://www.securemaine.org/register.html

This full day conference features 20 sessions across 3 themed tracks -- "AI and Emerging Technology", "Cyber Risk, Resilience, and Incident Response", and "Cybersecurity in the Future Workforce."  Formats include a keynote address, over 15 individual presentations, a Practitioners Panel, and finishes the day with a CISO/CIO Round Table.

The event also showcases 35 security-related vendors in our Sponsors Pavilion, and 5 security-related nonprofit "collaborators" in a Collaborators Hall, available all day to share their services and products, and together representing just part of the thriving resource network and vibrant professional cybersecurity ecosystem across Maine and the region.

The event's full agenda will provide attendees with up to 8 Continuing Professional Education (CPE) credits, as well as ample opportunities to network with industry employers and connect with industry-related nonprofits. Attendees come from Maine and throughout New England, and include security professionals and decision-makers from a broad array sectors who wish to improve their cybersecurity, physical security, and privacy protection strategies.

  • Keynote Speaker Deidre Diamond will present "The Execution Gap: Cyber Talent, Capability, and the Work That Isn't Getting Done"
  • AI Track topics such as: Penetration testing and AI, why AI agents ignore guardrails, the rise of deep fake attacks, and more
  • Workforce Track topics including: Authority drift in an agentic world, mentoring women in cybersecurity, and taming over-commitment chaos
  • Cyber Risk and Resilience topics including: Compliance programs, the convergence of IoT/OT in healthcare, lessons in incident response, global events and the threat landscape, and more.
  • A moderated practitioners panel: "Who Gets to Build the Future? AI, Access, and the Next Cybersecurity Workforce"
  • A CISO Round Table at the end of the day
