West Palm Beach, Florida Oct 5, 2026 (Issuewire.com) - In just 10 days, the world's largest and most influential pickleball industry gathering will open its doors in West Palm Beach. The World Pickleball Convention & Conference will kick off with a ceremonial ribbon'cutting featuring Palm Beach County Commissioner Gregg K. Weiss and the Palm Beach County Sports Commission, marking a historic milestone: Palm Beach County has been officially named the permanent home of the World Pickleball Annual Convention & Conference for the next five years.

This designation represents a major win for Palm Beach County's sports tourism landscape. The Palm Beach County Sports Commission has worked tirelessly to attract the convention, recognizing its economic impact, national visibility, and importance to one of the fastest'growing sports in America. Their efforts have now secured a long'term partnership that will bring thousands of athletes, coaches, medical professionals, manufacturers, facility operators, and industry leaders to the region each year.

"Palm Beach County has demonstrated unmatched commitment to supporting the growth of pickleball," organizers said. "Commissioner Weiss and the Palm Beach County Sports Commission have been instrumental in bringing this convention here--and now that it's here, it's staying here"

China’s open-weight AI models are winning global users. Who is capturing the value?

China’s open-weight artificial intelligence models are taking off globally, but much of the money they generate is flowing to third-party providers rather than the companies that create them, according to a new study.
