La Caribena News Named Media Partner for Beyond the Wheels 2.0 Summit

Oct 15, 2026

Beyond the Wheels 2.0 launched in Georgetown on 14 October 2026, building toward a two-day Transportation and Road Safety Summit on 9 and 10 March 2027 that closes with a National Road Safety Declaration. La Caribena News joins the forum as media partner.

Georgetown , Guyana, October 15, 2026 /PressCable/ -- GEORGETOWN, GUYANA - La Caribena News has been named a media partner of Beyond the Wheels 2.0, the national transportation and road safety summit convened by Clarke's Productions Inc., which was launched to stakeholders in Georgetown on Wednesday 14 October 2026.

The launch ran from 9:30 to noon at the Atlantic Suites Hotel, formerly Pegasus Suites and Corporate Center, on Seawall Road, Kingston, Georgetown. Attendees included officers of the Georgetown Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the Women's Chamber of Commerce and Industry Guyana, the Private Sector Commission and the Guyana Press Association, alongside sponsors, partners and stakeholders. Scoop Ride Inc was confirmed as title sponsor, and CARITRANS was recognised from the lectern as a strategic partner.

"Beyond the Wheels 2.0 is the kind of story this region needs reported properly, and reported all the way through," said Theon Alleyne, publisher of La Caribena News. "A summit that sets out to finish with signatures rather than a communique deserves a record of how it got there. La Caribena News will carry that record, from the launch floor in Georgetown to the Declaration in March."

The event being built toward is a two-day Transportation and Road Safety Summit at the Arthur Chung Conference Centre on 9 and 10 March 2027. It is designed for 200 delegates across nine tracks, and it is structured to end with a signed document rather than a communique. At 18:00 on the second day, participating institutions, operators and government agencies are to sign a National Road Safety Declaration.

The nine tracks run from road safety, driver dignity and defensive driving, through fleet modernization and fleet management, logistics and trade corridors, infrastructure readiness, regulatory reform, insurance and risk, mental health behind the wheel, corporate responsibility, and economic growth and mobility. Two of the nine address the people driving rather than the vehicles they drive. Track 01 covers professional standards and dignity at work. Track 07 covers fatigue, stress and addiction, described by the organisers as the invisible cost of extended time on the road.

Nine sectors have been invited to take part: government, the private sector, transportation, logistics, energy, law enforcement, emergency response, education and civil society. The line the organisers have carried throughout the campaign is Join the Conversation, Shape the Change.

As media partner, La Caribena News provides editorial coverage of the programme leading to the Summit and of the Summit itself. The publication has reported on Beyond the Wheels 2.0 through the year, including its presentation to the WeLead business audience in June 2026 at https://www.lacaribenanews.com/beyond-the-wheels-2-welead-guyana-2026/ and its meeting with the Private Sector Commission in July 2026 on fleet management and road safety at https://www.lacaribenanews.com/private-sector-commission-meets-beyond-the-wheels-2-0-on-fleet-management-and-road-safety/. Why AI Confidence Is Not Validation

Why AI Confidence Is Not Validation

AI is already part of digital forensics and incident response work, with or without a policy in place to govern it. The issue is that these tools are growing more confident in their own output faster than practitioners are developing reliable ways to verify it. Without governance models and validation standards in place, that gap compounds and rarely stays contained to a workstation: an

Z.ai’s GLM-5.3 raises researcher fears the Chinese model can fake AI safety tests

Chinese artificial intelligence lab Z.ai’s latest flagship model, GLM-5.3, may be sophisticated enough to “fake” its way through safety tests, according to a new report published Thursday, sparking new fears about the ability of artificial intelligence systems to shape their own development. The model, launched in August, showed an ability to consider how its behaviour during safety evaluations might influence how future versions of itself would be trained, according to AI safety organisation...
