Kyocera Highlights Total Rugged Mobile Solutions For Construction And More At Conexpo-conagg 2020

Mar 10, 2020

LAS VEGAS - March 10, 2020 - PRLog -- Kyocera International Inc., the North American leader in rugged mobile solutions, will showcase its latest devices for the construction industry at the CONEXPO-CON/AGG Show, March 10-14 in Las Vegas (Booth B91709, Bronze Hall). Kyocera's "total rugged mobile solution" has been optimized for show attendees including construction contractors, producers, manufacturers, service industry, and government.

The company's rugged devices are IP68, dust proof, waterproof, Class I Div 2 certified for hazardous locations with military standard 810G protection. With Japanese-precision design, manufacturing and engineering, they feature loud 100dB+ dual-front speakers and dual-mic noise cancellation for audio clarity and are backed by a standard two-year manufacturer's warranty. Kyocera's customizable mobile solution for construction includes the hardware plus a diverse ecosystem of accessories, a wide range of business applications and support to solve jobsite challenges.

The rugged devices on display at Kyocera's booth include:

·        DuraForce PRO 2 - available with FirstNet® and AT&T®

·        DuraForce PRO 2 with Sapphire Shield - exclusive with Verizon®

·        DuraXV Extreme - Kyocera's newest flip phone launching this spring with Verizon®, shown for the first time at CONEXPO

Kyocera's new ultra-durable flip phone is designed for business and enterprise use, especially construction, and features optimal push-to-talk (PTT) with a dedicated side button, powerful removable 1700mAh Li-Ion battery and a wide array of PTT accessories. Compact and affordable, it's the first device to feature a 1.2GHz, 64-bit Quad-core processor to support Mission Critical PTT and for quicker response when running apps.

DuraXV Extreme delivers simplicity with durability: a large font and clear display provide superior readability and a large, tactile, glove-friendly keypad and buttons make it easy to use virtually anywhere. Fully customizable, it enables users to program the main menu with frequently used apps, features programmable four-way navigation keys plus easy access programmable keys including SOS*, PTT*, speaker and stop at the top of the device. DuraXV Extreme supports Wi-Fi calling with HD voice and a mobile hotspot for up to 10 devices as well as Enterprise email; a 5MP auto-focus camera with LED flash captures key images and video (non-camera version of the device also available).

The DuraForce PRO 2 Android smartphone addresses critical tasks such as PTT secure instant (walkie-talkie type) communication, Man Down and Emergency alerts with a unique portfolio of accessories. Using DuraForce PRO 2 as a Total Solution with partner applications and dedicated accessories allows construction crews to streamline the business process while eliminating paper, enhancing productivity and saving valuable time. Mobile timekeeping with real time clock-in and clock-out features; job progress tracking and reporting; scanning and tracking valuable inventory; and managing work orders can all be handled via mobile device.

Kyocera's Tech Solution Partners

A variety of tech solution partners will be featured in Kyocera's CONEXPO booth including:

The company's rugged devices offer a lower total cost of ownership (TCO) than non-rugged devices by holding value for a far longer period of time than their non-rugged counterparts: they cost less in repairs and replacement, do not require expensive aftermarket cases, and – most importantly – function reliably in critical environments, ensuring that business can function without interruption.
