Dallas, Texas Oct 3, 2026 (Issuewire.com) - Interactive Youth Transport (IYT), a clinically overseen adolescent transport and crisis intervention company based in Dallas and Los Angeles, is expanding into health technology. The company has opened a pilot program for IYT Compass, the oversight and process platform it built for its own transports, and is inviting other youth treatment transport companies to join.

The pilot follows a presentation IYT CEO and Clinical Lead Bobby Tredinnick, LMSW-CASAC, gave at the NATSAP 2026 Annual Conference in San Diego. Tredinnick laid out the patterns that show up between a family's first call and an adolescent's arrival at treatment, and the opportunities those patterns create. His argument was that, with the right experience, transport can be a distinctive and powerful change experience for a young person rather than a logistical step before care begins. Opening Compass to other providers is IYT's way of carrying that standard beyond its own cases.

Compass follows each transport as one connected record, from first engagement with the family through clinical planning and travel to the handoff at the receiving program's admissions office. Parents see live progress and location for ground and air transports. Referring clinicians can confirm that the plan they shaped is being carried out. Admissions teams receive the adolescent along with the documentation and context they need to begin treatment. For transport companies taking part in the pilot, Compass is designed to add clinical oversight and consistent process to every case, with secure communication, milestone tracking and post-transport reporting built in. Users get secure, role-based access through the Compass portal.

"Transport has carried a reputation the industry hasn't always earned back, and part of the reason is that families and programs can't see what happens during those hours," said Tredinnick. "What I presented at NATSAP is that this window has patterns we can recognize and opportunities we can act on. We built Compass to hold ourselves to that standard, and we're opening the pilot because the whole field benefits when more transport companies can show families and clinicians exactly how a child is being cared for, from the first call to the admissions office."

Every IYT transport runs under the company's Summit Transport Model, which combines licensed therapist oversight, a trauma-informed structure and respect-based engagement so that adolescents arrive at treatment calmer and more ready to take part.
