CLATapult Conducts CLAT Awareness Drive Across 100 Schools in Kolkata

Sep 12, 2026

CLATapult conducted a CLAT awareness drive across over 100 schools in Kolkata in 2026, introducing students to the exam and careers in law. Dozens of students at each school came forward with questions.

kolkata, West bengal Sep 12, 2026 (Issuewire.com) - CLATapult, a renowned CLAT coaching institute known for producing top ranks across Eastern India, has completed an awareness drive spanning more than 100 schools in Kolkata. The campaign was designed to introduce school students to CLAT, the national entrance examination for admission into India's premier National Law Universities (NLUs), and to shed light on law as a viable and rewarding career choice.

Strong Response From Students

Representatives from CLATapult visited schools across the city, engaging directly with students to explain the structure of CLAT, the range of career opportunities within the legal profession, and the broader scope of studying law beyond conventional assumptions. At each school, dozens of students stepped forward with questions, seeking clarity on everything from the exam pattern and preparation timelines to the day to day realities of a legal career.

The response, organisers noted, reflected a growing curiosity among school students about law as a discipline, one that is often overshadowed by more traditional career choices such as engineering and medicine.

Widening Awareness of Legal Careers

CLAT is the gateway examination for admission to 24 National Law Universities across India, including institutions such as NLSIU Bangalore, NALSAR Hyderabad, and NUJS Kolkata. Despite the growing prestige attached to careers in law, awareness about the examination and its pathways remains limited among school students, particularly those without prior exposure to the field.

Through this drive, CLATapult aimed to bridge that gap by taking information directly to students at the school level, well before they begin narrowing down their choice of career or entrance examinations. The sessions covered the basics of CLAT eligibility and preparation, along with an overview of the diverse specialisations available within the legal profession, ranging from litigation and corporate law to policy and alternative dispute resolution.

About CLATapult

Founded by graduates of the West Bengal National University of Juridical Sciences (NUJS), CLATapult is Kolkata's leading CLAT coaching institute, recognised for delivering the best CLAT results in Eastern India for eleven consecutive years. With classroom centres in Salt Lake and Gariahat, and online coaching offered pan-India, CLATapult has helped hundreds of students secure admission into India's top National Law Universities.

China shoots ahead on AI video models

While few dispute that China is narrowing the gap with the United States in developing artificial intelligence (AI) models, there is one area where Chinese firms are already the undisputed leaders: video. China has seen a proliferation of advanced generative AI video models – systems trained on visual data to generate or edit video content based on user inputs such as text prompts, images and audio. The country’s vast short-video ecosystems and looser copyright rules have helped give Chinese...
