Sep 11, 2026

Prostaid Calgary has announced its September support meeting on charitable giving, with finance and valuations professional Craig A. Gorham as the featured guest speaker.

Calgary, Canada, September 11, 2026 /PressCable/ -- Prostaid Calgary's September monthly meeting will center on charitable giving, with Craig A. Gorham, a finance and valuations professional, addressing the topic in Calgary, Alberta.

More information is available at https://prostaid.org/meetings/

Alberta has distinguished itself nationally in charitable giving. According to the Fraser Institute's 2025 Generosity Index, it was the only Canadian province to record an increase in the share of aggregate income donated to charity over the past decade, rising 3.9 percent. Against that backdrop, Prostaid Calgary's September session connects charitable planning with long-term cancer support for members and caregivers.

The meeting takes place Wednesday, September 16, 2026, at 7:30 PM at the CKE Community Centre, 1015 73 Ave SW, Calgary, AB. The session is available in-person and via Zoom. Those attending remotely are asked to sign up in advance to receive a link and access code by email; in-person attendance requires no prior registration.

Craig A. Gorham brings 15 years of experience in finance, valuations, and business development. His background spans investment banking, acquisitions, financial modelling, and strategic analysis, with a focus on identifying risks and opportunities in complex financial situations. Gorham has emphasized improving efficiency through smarter systems, automation, and data-driven decision-making, an approach he applies to help audiences make confident, informed decisions.

Prostaid Calgary has operated as a registered charity since 1993, supporting men, families, and caregivers affected by prostate cancer through monthly community meetings, peer discussion, and volunteer-supported programming.

The organization holds its general meeting on the third Wednesday of most months at the CKE Community Centre in Calgary and also runs a Warriors group for those managing advanced prostate cancer and an informal Wives & Caregivers group for spouses and caregivers of those affected by the disease.

Members can subscribe to the Digital Examiner, Prostaid Calgary's monthly newsletter covering prostate cancer research and organizational updates, and access video recordings of past meetings through the organization's online archive.

More details on the September meeting, membership, or ways to support Prostaid Calgary's programming are available at https://prostaid.org/meetings/ or by calling 403-455-1916.

China shoots ahead on AI video models

China has seen a proliferation of advanced generative AI video models – systems trained on visual data to generate or edit video content based on user inputs such as text prompts, images and audio. The country’s vast short-video ecosystems and looser copyright rules have helped give Chinese...
